Declaración de ciudadanos Israelíes
contra el Apartheid tras la audiencia de la Corte Internacional de Justicia de La Haya
En este día histórico de la audiencia de la Corte Internacional de Justicia sobre Sudáfrica contra Israel, Israelíes contra el Apartheid deseamos expresar nuestra gratitud y apoyo al llamamiento de Sudáfrica para detener el genocidio en Gaza.
En los últimos meses hemos sido testigos y alertados sobre las intenciones y acciones genocidas de nuestro gobierno. En el pasado, y recientemente, hemos pedido una intervención internacional en defensa de la población palestina y tenemos la esperanza de que este sea un primer paso para lograrlo. También estamos muy preocupados por otros crímenes de guerra que se están perpetrando contra la población palestina, no sólo en Gaza sino también en Cisjordania.
Israel, al igual que los perpetradores de otros genocidios históricos, ha desarrollado una cultura de discurso deshumanizador para racionalizar y justificar sus acciones genocidas junto con llamados a una limpieza étnica y una recolonización de Gaza.
Además, los ciudadanos israelíes que se oponen a la actual guerra genocida en Gaza están sufriendo una persecución política sin precedentes, como graves limitaciones de su derecho a protestar, detenciones violentas, pérdida de empleos y amenazas de muerte por parte de militantes de derecha. La situación es crítica. El Estado israelí de apartheid se está transformando en un régimen fascista a gran escala. Soldados y ciudadanos armados deambulan por el país, entendiendo que no hay límite a lo que se les permite hacer en defensa de la supremacía y el gobierno judíos.
El uso masivo de "bombas tontas" contra todos los habitantes de Gaza, el desplazamiento de la población de Gaza, la negativa a detener la guerra, sin importar el precio, y las prácticas militares que ponen en peligro a los cautivos restantes, muestran que los dos objetivos declarados del La guerra (desmantelar Hamás y traer de vuelta a casa a los secuestrados) no son los objetivos del gabinete. Estamos convencidos de que el objetivo político y militar israelí es limpiar Gaza de su población palestina mediante la muerte y la expulsión.
Es imperativo poner fin de inmediato al ataque genocida de Israel. También es la única esperanza de liberar a los rehenes israelíes supervivientes retenidos en Gaza. También deben ser liberados incondicionalmente los rehenes palestinos, los presos políticos, incluidos los niños presos y cientos de prisioneros retenidos sin cargos por Israel.
Como israelíes de origen judío insistimos: ¡Nunca más, por nadie!
Es esencial impedir que Israel lleve a cabo su plan declarado para completar la Nakba que comenzó en 1948. Sólo entonces podremos comenzar a desmantelar el apartheid israelí, restaurar los derechos de la población indígena palestina, incluida la implementación del derecho al retorno, reconocido en la resolución 194 de la ONU, y comenzar a co-crear una Palestina descolonizada donde todos los ciudadanos tendrán los mismos derechos independientemente de su fe, su grupo étnico o su identidad nacional.

11/1/2024 Israelis Against Apartheid Statement following ICJ Hearing
On this historic day of the International Court of Justice hearing of South Africa v. Israel, Israelis Against Apartheid would like to express our gratitude and support for South Africa’s appeal to stop the genocide in Gaza.
In recent months we have witnessed and alerted about the genocidal intent and genocidal actions of our government. We have in the past, and recently, called for international intervention in defense of The Palestinian population and are hopeful this is a first step to achieve that. We are also greatly concerned about other ongoing war crimes that are being carried against the Palestinian population, not only in Gaza but also in the West Bank.
Israel, like perpetrators of other historic genocides, has developed a culture of a dehumanizing discourse to rationalize and justify their genocidal actions alongside calls to ethnically cleanse and recolonize Gaza.
Furthermore, Israeli citizens who are opposing the current genocidal war on Gaza are suffering unprecedented political persecution, such as severe limitations of their right to protest, violent arrests, loss of jobs and death threats from right wing militants. The situation is critical. The Israeli Apartheid state is transforming to a full scale fascist regime. Soldiers and armed citizens are roaming the country, with an understanding that there is no limit to what they are permitted to do in defense of Jewish supremacy and jewish rule.
The massive use of “dumb bombs'' targeting everyone in Gaza, the displacement of the Gazan population, the refusal to stop the war, no matter the price, and military practices that endanger the remaining captives, show that the two declared aims of the war - dismantling Hamas and bringing the abducted back home - are not the cabinet's goals. We are convinced that the Israeli political and military objective is to cleanse Gaza of its Palestinian population through death and expulsion.
An immediate halt of Israel’s genocidal assault is imperative. It is also the only hope of freeing the surviving Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Palestinian hostages, political prisoners, including child prisoners and hundreds of prisoners held without charges by Israel, must also be unconditionally freed.
As Israelis of Jewish origin we insist: Never again, for anyone!
It is essential to prevent Israel from carrying out its declared plan to complete the Nakba that it began in 1948. Only then can we begin to dismantle Israeli apartheid, restore the rights of the Palestinian indigenous population, including the implementation of the right of return, recognized in UN resolution 194, and begin to co-create a decolonized Palestine where all citizens will have equal rights regardless of their faith, their ethnic group or their national identity.
